Aurora VA Clinic is offering Saturday flu shots on October 1st and 15th from 8am to 1:45pm

Vaccinations are open to veterans enrolled in VA healthcare and CHAMPVA beneficiaries by appointment.

“Flu cases increase when temperatures drop,” said Loretta Gorecki, the clinic’s acting nurse manager. “Early fall is the time to get the flu shot. Join us as soon as possible to help contain the spread this winter.”

The Aurora VA Clinic at 161 S. Lincolnway, Suite 120 in North Aurora continues to offer walk-in flu shots during regular clinic hours, Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m

The Aurora VA Clinic is also known as the Aurora Community Based Ambulance. It is one of six community outpatient clinics administered by Edward Hines Jr. VA Hospital.

Hines VA and all of its outpatient clinics offer walk-in flu shots Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m

Veterans are also advised to get a COVID-19 booster or initial vaccination.

COVID-19 booster shots are not currently being offered during Aurora’s Saturday flu shot clinics. However, bivalent boosters are available by appointment during regular clinic hours for those who are vaccine-type independent at least two months after their last vaccination or booster dose.
